Universal U panel is the most popular panel from our wide range of radiant panels. Initially designed to be mounted in registered ceiling, the type of installations has been recently widening with the increasing demand on radiant heating systems and was requiring a new version in this range.
This “smooth” version of the Universal U panel, doesn’t have the roughness of the “Thermocrystal” finish, but an orange peel structure (made of a resistant white powder plastic coating). This new surface finish still provides an increased surface to keep a high radiant component of the heat transfer vs convection component (even though lower than the Thermocrystal surface). However the smooth surface is considerably easier to maintain and clean especially when mounted on walls. Therefore U Basic panels are particularly suitable for health care institutions or for users with allergies or asthma problems.
